Stop the Stigma: Fighting Stigma, Raising Awareness

Stop the Stigma is an annual community event created to challenge the misconceptions surrounding mental health and to make support more accessible for everyone.

Founded with the belief that mental health care should be visible, approachable, and stigma-free, Stop the Stigma brings together individuals, families, service providers, and community partners in a safe and inclusive space. Our event focuses on education, awareness, and connection—helping people understand mental health, reduce shame, and take the first steps toward care.

Each year, attendees are connected with local nonprofit organizations, healthcare providers, and advocacy groups offering free mental health resources, screenings, referrals, and supportive services. By meeting people where they are, we aim to remove common barriers such as cost, lack of information, and fear of judgment.

Stop the Stigma serves the Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding communities, with a growing reach beyond our local area. Our work is rooted in compassion, equity, and community collaboration, ensuring that no one has to navigate mental health challenges alone.
